The app, which is GDPR and HIPAA-compliant, uses real-time, anonymous, tokenized data through Bluetooth to alert users if they are at risk of COVID-19 transmission based on their proximity with at-risk or infected users.

Users simply download this covid secure app, register with an anonymous profile and enable Bluetooth functionality. If the app picks up a signal from another user, their tokens are exchanged and registered, creating a record of interaction between the app users. Users can go about their daily lives and are alerted if they are exposed to the virus based on their proximity with at-risk or infected users. If a user starts experiencing symptoms and their status is confirmed as “suspected” or “infected”, the app will notify any other user who was in contact with them.
