Create and manage rules in Salesforce quickly on your own with Rule Engine. Rule Engine is a system program that lets anyone with basic knowledge of Salesforce create dependencies and manage complex business rules, which can be easily configured and modified. The solution is very easy to read, create or modify without development, it requires no coding and easy for understanding by people with no technical background. Rule Engine automates the flow and provides a significant transparency of the client’s actions.​

Rule Engine runs rules on data and if any condition matches then it executes the corresponding actions. The tool reduces the number of actions options, saves time and efforts for the request processing.

Rule Engine allows business users to make calculations in a preconfigured way and eliminates chances of miscalculation. With the predefined rules, users are focused on “what to do” instead of “how to do”. Rule Engine is a great solution for automating the flow and providing transparency of the client’s actions. The best thing is it requires no coding and is easy for understanding by people without strong technical skills. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a dependable and configurable business rule management system.

I was looking for a solution that would help me manage business workflow in Salesforce and create complex logic. Rule Engine has allowed me to focus on "what to do" - the business side, instead of the technical side - "how to do". It allowed us to define rules and exceptions in accordance with our own needs, and based on them the particular action is triggered. This saved us loads of time and improved our processes.

Questions & Answers

I created Rule on the Account Object. Rule is not getting triggered at all. There is no trigger on the Account Object. Do I need to go and manually code a trigger for this?

A user needs to add the trigger wherever the rules are added. The details are shared in the installation guide in the Configuration Set Up section.

I have configured the rules on specific object and created a record for the same, but rules not executed and there is no difference.

I installed the app and followed the – Installation Guide & User Guide. I still couldn’t figure out how it actually works. If there is any further resource—I can refer to get detailed documentation of this app.

With package installation, you will get sample rules configured on the sample object which is having sample record and trigger. You just need to update the value in the record and see the difference in calculated fields on the same record.
