Solution Overview

Maestro is a hybrid cloud management platform that provides a unified entry point to your infrastructures in public clouds and private datacenters. It enables effective management, reporting, FinOps, security compliance checks, performance insights, ML-based optimization suggestions, automation and DevOps tooling.

Maestro’s integration with providers’ native services is empowered by the framework’s native engines and know-hows. This gives you a flexible and convenient environment for effective organization of Cloud infrastructure for your enterprise.

Maestro has user-friendly web and mobile applications that allow users to gather infrastructure information, perform resource manipulations and manage cloud-related personal/project settings with a few clicks.

Available in SaaS and On-Premise models, providing the possibility to select the necessary scope of features to be deployed, Maestro is the solution that can be customized effectively to meet the specific needs of your enterprise in Cloud.

Key Considerations:

  • Deployment Environment: The product runs within your cloud account infrastructure.

  • Trial & POC Plans: Utilize an All-in-One (AIO) setup. The service availability SLA is consequently dependent on the underlying SLA of a single compute instance within a single region in your account.

  • Basic & Pro Plans: Include a High Availability (HA) configuration by default. These plans allow for further customization of availability setups to meet specific client requirements.

  • Support Response Time: Refers to the maximum time target for our support team to acknowledge and begin addressing a submitted support request during standard support hours (unless specified otherwise, e.g., "Instant" for Pro).

  • Additional Technical Support: Available across applicable plans at a rate of $150 per hour for needs exceeding the included hours or for specialized assistance.

You can find more details in the Pricing Plan section below.

Customer Problem

The majority of modern enterprises rely on hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures, taking the best of the services offered by public cloud providers and private cloud platform vendors.

Meanwhile, having a complex distributed infrastructure also means making an extra effort for effective management, organization, and control over the resources, cloud spend, and security compliance.

The necessity to set up cooperation between management, financial, and technical teams also puts the enterprise cloud management task to a new level of complexity.

EPAM Solution

Maestro provides a centralized entry point to multiple clouds used by the customer (AWS, Azure, GCP, private), and gives unified controls over the infrastructures.

It has tools and capabilities that allow to:

  • Organize secure access and role-based permissions
  • Plan, control and reduce costs
  • Track and improve security and compliance of the infrastructure
  • Optimize infrastructure in terms of performance, cost and security
  • Remediate detected issues and vulnerabilities
  • Automate infrastructure management with IaC tools and SDK/API
  • Create customer-focusing service catalog for quick deployment of the necessary solutions to Cloud
  • Keep track of the changes and updates in infrastructure due to letters, notifications, integration with Teams and push notifications on mobile devices

Pricing Plans

Maestro licensing uses Workload approach, based on active instances working hours (the hours spent in the Stopped state do not count). We consider that an average VM has 2500 working hours yearly. Thus, one workload item, or "Annual VM" is 2500 hours of your instances being in Running state (which can be the active hours "lived" by one or multiple virtual instances).

Questions & Answers

Why do we need Maestro if the public providers offer own solutions for cloud management?

Posted on March 18, 2023 by Tom B.

According to numerous reviews and reports, the number of businesses hosting their infrastructures in Cloud is growing dramatically. In this respect, multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures are the main trend, with up to 85% of enterprises using 2 or more clouds.

Separated management of the distributed infrastructures takes extra effort and increases the risk of a human error. Maestro provides a unified centralized access to public and private infrastructures, giving better control and transparency to multi cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Does Maestro allow working with new services offered by providers, or it is a standard CMS for virtual instances?

Posted on March 5, 2023 by Jerry Wayne

Modern providers keep to the API-first concept, which means that any of their services can be controlled via API.

To resolve similar tasks, the providers offer similar APIs – for example, to work with budgets, security alerts or recommendations.

Maestro analytics team tracks the changes in public clouds APIs, and when such similarities are detected, considers implementing functionality for unified working across all supported clouds.

At the moment, public providers offer lots of mature APIs, which allow to work with all types of resources. Thus, Maestro can be effective not only for virtual instances, but also with other types of resources.

How is Maestro billed?

Posted on December 4, 2022 by John Salyer

The billing depends on the selected deployment and provisioning options, as well as the size of the infrastructure to be covered by Maestro.
