Solution Overview

In today’s digital environment, web applications update constantly. While this can be a good thing, it often leads to locator changes. Self-healing test automation tool Healenium helps you overcome the instability of automatic tests and spend less time supporting tests, giving your team more time for product testing and to increase coverage with new automation scripts.

Healenium is a standalone Java JAR that you can easily add to your automation test code base. Usage of machine learning (ML) algorithms for identifying webpage changes will help you to find controls (new locators) for updated webpages and fix your tests in a runtime.

Friendly reporting and locator-updater plugins for IntelliJ IDEA allow for the visibility of controls states and provide the ability to update your ‘broken’ locators with new values automatically in the code base.

Benefits

Improve Stability of Selenium-Based Automated Tests

Replace broken locator value with one that best matches & fixes tests in runtime

Minimize Maintenance Time

Reduce the amount of non-product related test failures

Manage actionable controls with new values in the code base with just one click

Features

  • Handles 'NoSuchElement' test failures: In runtime, Healenium replaces failed control with a new value that best matches and performs an action with replaced control successfully
  • Provides visibility of controls state: Receive detailed reporting with fixed control values and screenshots
  • Updates test code base: IntelliJ IDEA plugin updates controls with new values in the code base in just one click
  • Supports advanced features: Self-healing java test automation tool Healenium supports parallel test run, remote test run, IFrames, Actions and Selenide integration

We use Healenium to automate our web tests. It makes it easy for us to keep our tests up-to-date without having to manually update them every time a page changes.

I've been using Healenium for a while now and it's really helped me speed up my testing process. It was easy to add it to our automation codebase. It makes it possible to fix our tests in runtime.

    Questions & Answers

Hi, we are working on Python with robot framework. How to implement Healenium into Python framework? Where can we find the helpful integration document for that?

Even after successful execution for first time, it is not able to heal elements when i modify any xpath. Note : Locators were successfully saved under selectors tab Saved xpath : //*[@class='gLFyf'] Modified xpath : //*[@class='text']

Healenium reparation happens on defective page locators.

There is no need to alter the locator within the code, just on the page.

Can Healenium support mobile native applications without docker installation? if Yes, please provide a Road map for it, we wanted to give a try with our existing framework.
