Agentic QA
Solution Overview
Most QA practices lean on a mix of manual and automated testing, and for good reason: people bring judgment and adaptability, while automation brings speed and repeatability. Both of these testing approaches still hit the ceiling. Testing every journey by hand across markets, devices, and weekly releases doesn't scale, and scripted automation breaks the moment a button moves, even when the feature underneath still works fine. The result is rising maintenance costs, thinner coverage, and slower releases.
Agentic QA raises that ceiling. Instead of scripting every step, simply describe what should be validated, such as “a user can complete checkout,” and a network of AI agents takes it from there. They explore your product the way a real user would, decide what to do next, and adjust on the fly when the interface changes, so your tests keep working even as your product keeps evolving.
Every result comes with the evidence to back it up, including screenshots, videos, and a plain explanation of what the agents found. And because Agentic QA is delivered as a managed service, clients get a dedicated EPAM quality team working alongside their own, keeping everything running smoothly as products and markets grow.
Customer Problem
-
Manual testing is flexible and adaptive, but can be slow, expensive and difficult to scale with agility
-
Test automation is fast and inexpensive to execute, but can be brittle and costly to maintain.
-
Traditional test cases can't reason about what they see, so they don't adapt or update themselves when the UI shifts
-
Limited coverage across complex end-to-end journeys increases release risk
-
Testing documentation cannot be completely reused as is for different markets or environment version and needs to be maintained separately
-
Tool sprawl and lock-in make it hard to evolve QA with the SDLC
EPAM Solution
Agentic QA combines the adaptability of human reasoning with AI-powered precision and efficiency. Clients author checks in plain language and set the guardrails. Then a network of specialized agents plans the steps, explores the application, validates outcomes visually and/or in code and reports results with full rationale. Because the agents apply reasoning, the same check can take a different path from run to run and still reach the objective, so every run ships with the evidence to back it up. Users can decide whether checks should be executed in a more deterministic way – each execution gets recorded and agents can replay fixed steps to further speed up time and save costs. Unlike traditional automation, this smart approach offers a fallback mechanism to switch back to agent reasoning in case the product was changed, without immediately crashing the test.
Agentic QA from EPAM:
-
Replaces brittle, script-by-script maintenance with checks that describe outcomes, not steps. Write once and keep validating as the product changes
-
Delivers holistic coverage by navigating full user journeys end-to-end, not only narrow happy paths
-
Keeps a human in the loop: teams author checks, set what matters, and review every result before it ships
-
Integrates with developer tools via MCP, and bring your own LLM
-
Fits your operating model as a managed service, hosted by EPAM or on-premise with Kubernetes
-
Staffs a forward-deployed Test Lead, then adds an Prompt/AI Engineer on demand to tune behavior, extend capabilities and align to your environments

Features
-
Plain-language test creation: Just describe what should work — no scripts to write, and none to maintain later.
-
Human-like testing: Agents click, scroll, and fill out forms the way a real user would, adjusting on the fly when the product changes.
-
Built-in safeguards: A dedicated oversight agent keeps every test on-task and within safe limits, so autonomy never means unpredictability.
-
Clear, evidence-backed results: Every outcome comes with screenshots/videos and a plain-language explanation, so you always know exactly why.
-
Interoperability via MCP: Connects to workflow/developer tools via MCP and AI models your team already relies on.
-
Real device testing: Applications are tested on real mobile devices, not simulators, so results reflect what users actually experience.
-
Delivery model options: Fully managed by EPAM's quality experts or run within your own environment — whichever fits your setup best.
Use Cases
Multi-Market E-Commerce Regression Testing
Problem Statement
A global e-commerce client operating across multiple markets faced a slow, expensive rollout process for new storefronts. Each market introduced its own language, UI, and compliance requirements, such as GDPR cookie banners and localized button labels, multiplying the test permutations needed. With limited QA capacity, the team could only cover a fraction of live sites during regression testing, and expanding into new markets took longer and cost more than it should have.
Proposed Solution
Agentic QA was deployed to run the same checks across every market-specific site variant with little to no adjustment, executing large sets of regression checks in parallel to cover a full user journey market by market. The approach combined ELITEA-generated automation scripts for core functionality with the broad UI coverage of Agentic QA, extending existing testing capabilities across a fragmented, multi-market storefront environment.
Achieved Results
- Accelerated new-market rollouts compared to the previous setup
- Reduced testing costs relative to prior regression processes
- Enabled parallel execution of large regression check sets across full user journeys
Content Migration Testing at Scale
Problem Statement
A global leader in the cruise ship industry needed to migrate more than 500 web pages from Sitecore to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) under tight timelines. High-volume testing needs, limited in-house resources, and intense multi-market release cycles left the team exposed to migration errors and inconsistent content, with little capacity to validate everything manually before the launch.
Proposed Solution
EPAM implemented Agentic QA with automated, plain-language checks for content, design and functional validation, replacing manual, page-by-page review with a scalable automated testing process. This approach removed the need to hire a large team of manual testers and gave the client the capacity to validate high volumes of content ahead of each multi-market release. The engagement began with a low-risk quarterly pilot to prove the approach, then scaled across the full migration once results were confirmed.
Achieved Results
- 60%+ efficiency boost
- 40%+ faster turnaround time
- 20%+ cost reduction
